Coronavirus UpdateUpdatedThursday March 19, 2020 byAndrew Hayes.
Dear Beach Little League Families,
Keeping you informed, Little League International is now recommending a temporary suspension/delay of league activities until Monday, May 11th. Here is a portion of their latest statement:
"The COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic is rapidly changing the way that we, as global citizens, think, act, gather, learn, and live our daily lives. And, yes, that also means how we play Little League.
With the most recent guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Little League International Board of Directors and staff is now strongly advising all its local Little League programs to suspend/delay their Little League seasons through no earlier than Monday, May 11. We implore you to follow this recommendation and suspend all Little League activities through no earlier than May 11."

Needless to say, this is bigger than little league and youth sports. The safety, health and well-being of our community is our greatest concern and highest priority. As a league we will follow these recommendations. We all play a small, but important part in flattening the curve and helping to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
In the meantime, preparations for the season will continue behind the scenes and, as a league, we will be ready to resume activities once health officials deem it to be appropriate. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and will adhere to all CDC, city, county and state health official recommendations and best practices.
We thank you for your support and understanding. We all look forward to getting past this difficult time and resuming our normal lives. Thankfully we are all fortunate to live in an extraordinarily strong, tight and supportive community. Together we can get through anything - GO BEACH!
